South Australia’s 2025/26 Gaelic football season reaches its climax on Saturday 28 February, with the grand finals at St Mary’s Park, Adelaide.
In the men’s final, throwing in at 4 pm, regular-season table-toppers Flinders O’Neill take on surprise package Na Fianna. Flinders will be hoping to lift the Betty Hannigan Cup for the first time since 1992.
The women’s final, beginning at 6 pm, sees Adelaide Shamrocks face Irish Australian Blues. Founded in 2022, the Shamrocks have won every game this season and will go in as red-hot favourites to claim the Tom Finn Cup for the first time.
As a mark of respect to the late Brendan Roe – former Onkaparinga player, and son of former SA and Australasia secretary, Gerard – a minute’s silence will take place before both games.
It’s sure to be an excellent day of Gaelic football – and a great chance to watch several Australian players who’ll be representing Australasia at the GAA World Games in Ireland this July.
