AGG recognises the investment and support provided by the Australian Government through the ASC

Australasia Gaelic Games (AGG) recognises the ongoing investment and support provided by the Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).

This support underscores a shared commitment to strengthening community sport and ensuring that Australians at every level can experience the enjoyment and benefits of active participation.

AGG Chairperson Ned Sheehy said the recognition reflects the gratitude the Gaelic games community has for the ASC’s dedication to building a thriving and inclusive sporting landscape across Australia.

“We are deeply appreciative of the continued backing from the Australian Government and the ASC,” Ned Sheehy said. “Their support helps us to grow Gaelic games sustainably, enhance opportunities for participation, and strengthen the volunteer base that underpins our clubs and associations nationwide.”

This recognition highlights the role of collaborative partnerships in delivering positive outcomes for sport and community wellbeing. The ASC’s investment and guidance assist organisations like Australasia Gaelic Games in improving governance, development pathways, and accessibility across diverse communities.

“Australasia Gaelic Games represents people from all backgrounds who share a passion for participation, teamwork, and connection,” Ned added. “With this support, we are better placed to expand opportunities for players of all ages and to continue developing Gaelic games as a valued part of the Australian sporting landscape.”

Australasia Gaelic Games extends its appreciation to the Australian Government and the ASC for their commitment to supporting sports organisations across the nation, enabling them to thrive now and into the future.
