Morley Gaels GFC, formerly known as the Kalamunda Kangaroos, is one of the oldest and most respected GAA clubs in Western Australia.
Founded in 1975 by Primo and George Chiari, Bertie Houlihan, Fr Conway and Paddy McClure, the club has been a cornerstone of the Irish sporting community in Perth for over five decades.
Based in Perth, Western Australia, Morley Gaels is a proud Gaelic football club that brings together players, families and supporters who share a passion for Irish sport and strong community values.
Catering to both men’s and women’s teams, the club promotes participation, development and inclusivity at all levels from beginners taking up the game for the first time to experienced players competing at a high standard.
Success came early for the club, with Morley men securing back-to-back Fr Kelly Cup titles in 1977 and 1978. The establishment of a women’s team in 1995/96 marked another significant chapter in the club’s history, with the women’s side going from strength to strength in the years that followed.
The club’s 50th year in 2025 proved to be a landmark season, as the women’s team claimed their first Mná Cup title a historic achievement that cemented their place in Morley Gaels history and highlighted the continued growth and success of the club.
As Morley Gaels looks to the future, the club remains committed to fostering community spirit, promoting Gaelic games, and providing a welcoming home for players and supporters alike.
